The features allows users to “barge” (join in various ways) into currently ongoing calls. This is also known as Call Intrusion.
Set Up
- To set up Call Barging, go to Admin>Call Barging
- Click on Add Barge Group
- Once the group is created, you can add Group Members (these are extensions that can be barged onto / bargees) and Group Managers (these are extensions that can do the barging / bargers)
To Barge:
You can initiate a barge, the barger dials *22xxx (xxx being the extension of the bargee).
Once Barged:
The barger can change mode by pressing a single button:
1. Listen Only (Default)
2. Whisper (The barger can speak to only the bargee)
3. Full Barge (full 3 way audio)
NB: A whisper feature enabling a recording to be overlaid during a call, normally at the start, is not available.
