Configuring your handsets or softphones to use SRV records will allow them to failover to alternative equipment in the case of any network or service related issues.
While we cannot provide a guide for every manufacturer and model of phone, we have taken the opportunity to list what we can below with links to manufacturer's guides on how to achieve this.
Please note: Typically only a single setting will need to be adjusted to get this to function. Please test that everything works after you adjust any setting to ensure that there is no loss of service.
Set “DNS Mode” to “SRV” under Accounts > Account X > Network Settings
