We have two ranges of UK 0800/0808 numbers - 0800 007 3XXX and 0808 280 XXXX.
Both are functionally identical with numbers configurable to deliver calls to:
- SIP
- fax-to-email
- fax-to-API
- PSTN
We make no charge for the number itself unless a gold/vanity number is required, our only charge is per minute on received calls.
Call Charges
Incoming calls to Freephone numbers are regularly updated in our Numbering Document, this can be found here.
A minimum call duration of 60 seconds is applied to all incoming Freephone calls.
There is no additional charge for calls delivered to SIP or our fax/voicemail service but calls forwarded to the PSTN will be additionally charged at the outbound rates as used.
Calls delivered over SIP will include an X-Origin header in the initial INVITE which will be set to "mobile" or "payphone" as appropriate and will not be present for normal calls enabling you to respond accordingly (e.g. to refuse calls from payphones) and to ensure you know in advance what the call will be charged at.
Availability
0808s can be allocated and configured through our API or customer portal.
0800 is an OFCOM conserved range and as such we generally have to restrict usage, therefore all of our 0800 numbers will come with a gold number charge.
0808s are not conserved and can be allocated in volume.
